Owner & Dentist

Dr. Draughn is proud to call Iowa home. It’s why her practice is right here in Bloomfield. Raised in nearby Oskaloosa, she embraces the values of small-town living and brings that same sense of community, comfort, and care to her practice.

Having personally undergone numerous dental procedures, Dr. Draughn knows what it feels like to be self-conscious about your smile. These experiences are what shaped her compassionate approach to dentistry and fueled her passion for helping patients regain confidence through personalized, gentle, and skillful care. 

With over a decade of experience in dentistry, spanning roles in front-office administration, dental assisting, and now as a dentist, Dr. Draughn offers a uniquely well-rounded perspective on patient care. Her journey in dentistry is rooted in empathy, and she is dedicated to making every patient feel supported, understood, and empowered to smile proudly.

Dr. Draughn is a member of the National Guard and has served on two overseas deployments. 

When she’s not caring for patients, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their six dogs, close friends, and family.

Dental Hygienist

Amanda is a Registered Dental Hygienist and proud graduate of Kirkwood Community College with over 15 years of experience in dentistry, beginning her career as a Certified Dental Assistant. She has worked in both general and pediatric practices and has also shared her passion for the profession by teaching dental hygiene at a local community college.

Committed to lifelong learning and leadership, Amanda is currently pursuing her Fellowship in Dental Hygiene. She actively volunteers with the American Dental Hygienists’ Association and participates annually in Iowa Mission of Mercy clinics, giving back to her community through service. She is honored to have been recognized as the Iowa Dental Hygienists’ Association Dental Hygienist of the Year.

Outside the office, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband, Marshall, and their two daughters, Loralei and Maddison. She values building lasting relationships with her patients and is dedicated to helping them achieve healthier, happier smiles.
